Hi The coach zone,

Welcome to this weeks Get COACHd on Friday.

As we develop our coaching practice, I am sure that you will work with clients that may have confidence challenges, or elements of imposter syndrome. This is a great area where our coaching can assist. Similarly, there can be times that we feel slightly nervous, challenged and wondering why our clients choose us. Just because we encourage methods and mindsets that can overcome these areas, doesn’t mean that we might not experience the same challenges as our clients.

So how do you look after yourself?

How do you get the balance right between understanding your capabilities and ensure that your confidence does not overstretch your capabilities.

Erik de Haan talks of the ten commandments of coaching. One of these is to do no harm as we practice our coaching. Understanding our boundaries is therefore important in how we practice our coaching.

So we have a tension.

Enjoy the play and now to the reading!
