Several years ago I attended an event where we used the local environment to receive inspiration from.
So, I decided – let’s start back in September with this event.
We will be dipping in and out of mindful practices, and exploring a challenge that you may have brought along. I am not going to apologise, but this is a powerful session and will give you break through.
The process takes us on a journey of discovery through three phases.
- Tune Up: This is the preparation phase where you are guided through a series of ‘mind-opening’ exercises to help you become more observant and tuned into the environment around you. You are asked to slow down, observe surroundings in detail, and take note of what draws your attention.
- The Quest: You are asked to come up with a question that you would like some guidance or clarity on. It can be something personal or work-related, big or small. You then take this question to the streets, walking alone for an hour, seeking inspiration and answers from the surroundings.
- Share: The final stage involves regrouping and sharing the insights and experiences that have been discovered. You discuss your findings and reflect on experiences.
The process is a form of urban mindfulness which invites you into the calmness of the urban environment.
