What if that didn’t have to be the case? What if we could take a few easy steps and makeover our Mondays so that they weren’t that bad?
In fact, why settle for “not bad”? Here are nine tips that can help you actually look forward to Mondays!
Keep The Same Sleep Schedule on Weekend
It isn’t always going to be possible, but for the most part, keeping your bed and wake-up times consistent will make your Mondays much easier. If you let loose late on Saturday night, try to get back on track Sunday.
Disconnect on The Weekend
You might not be lucky enough to have every weekend off, but it is important to make the most of each day you do have off. Disconnect from your devices for a while. Spend some time relaxing or pampering yourself. Do something you love.
Create A Monday Morning Ritual
Make your Monday a little more special with a ritual or routine. Maybe Monday is your meditation morning. You might choose to go to your favourite coffee shop each morning. Whatever it is, choose something you enjoy and make it your Monday ritual.
Prep For Monday on Friday
Everyone loves to take an early Friday, but consider taking some time to plan your Monday. 10 – 15 minutes is all you need. Map out a Monday that will set you up for the week. Doing it on Friday helps you truly disconnect from work on the weekend.

A lot of our Monday blahs are because of our mindset. People constantly talk about hating Mondays or share memes about hating Mondays. Make an effort to stop that kind of thinking. Think of Monday as just another day, or even better, a great way to kick off your week.
Connect With Your Favorite People
Make an effort to reach out to some of your favourite people. It could be as simple as chatting with your favourite coworker about your weekend or text messaging with someone who always makes you laugh.
Grab A Special Lunch
Leave the tuna sandwich at home on Mondays. Make Monday the day you treat yourself. Grab your favourite takeout, or meet a friend at your favourite local spot. No matter what you choose, try to make lunch special on Mondays.
Make Fun Plans After Work
If you want to look forward to Mondays, plan activities that you look forward to doing. Monday can become the day you meet friends at a local pub. It could become your board game night. Maybe Monday becomes the day you practice your favourite hobbies.
Do Something Nice for Someone
One of the best ways to boost your mood is to do something nice for someone else. Many people have a problem with Mondays, and if you can find a way to boost their mood, it will boost yours. It’s a win-win.
